The Del Mar Fairgrounds is operated by the 22nd District Agricultural Association on behalf of the State of California. The 22nd DAA is governed by a nine-member board, all appointed by the Governor. Each serves a four-year term. The Board meets monthly, and appoints a General Manager/CEO charged with the day-to-day operation of the facilities.
