DEL MAR, Ca. (Jan. 9, 2018) – The 2018 San Diego County Fair just keeps getting sweeter with the announcement that country music duo Sugarland will perform June 2 during the Toyota Summer Concert Series on the Heineken Grandstand Stage.

Part of their nationwide “Still the Same” 2018 tour, Sugarland will treat listeners to a long-awaited reunion of Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush at the San Diego County Fair, presented by Albertsons|Vons. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Jan. 20 through Ticketmaster. Pre-sale tickets will be available between 10 a.m. Jan. 18 and 11:59 p.m. Jan. 19; the pre-sale password will be emailed to subscribers to the Fair’s email newsletter and posted on the Fair’s social media accounts on Jan. 17.

“Still the Same,” the first Sugarland single in six years, was released in late 2017 and performed in New York City’s Times Square during a special New Year’s Eve performance. Their signature ballad “Stay” won a Grammy for best country performance by a duo or group with vocals in 2008 while two other songs off their “Enjoy the Ride” album produced their first two No. 1 singles. That same year, Sugarland performed at the San Diego County Fair. Their third album “Love on the Inside” claimed three more No. 1 hits with “All I Want to Do,” “Already Gone,” and “It Happens.” In 2012, after recording a series of tours, the duo went on hiatus due in part to Nettles taking maternity leave. Until now, both she and Bush have been recording solo projects.

Music is always a star feature of the San Diego County Fair and the Toyota Summer Concert Series on the Heineken Grandstand Stage will feature a variety of performers in paid and free concerts. Additional paid concerts will be announced in mid-February, with the full lineup of paid and free concerts to be announced mid-March.
