Scream Zone 15 opens September 28

DEL MAR, CA (Sept. 10, 2012).— The 15th annual Scream Zone, San Diego County’s largest haunted experience opens September 28 at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. AND opening night September 28 is half price night! $15 for the Triple Haunt! ONE NIGHT ONLY!
Now in its 15th year, Scream Zone is filled with “Creepy Carnivorous Dilapidated Diversions” and is more terrifying and bloodcurdling than ever before! Every “body” is sure to be thrilled to the bone in THREE “spooktacular” attractions featuring: The House of Horror*; The Chamber and The Haunted Hayride.
NEW THIS YEAR: Beware if you dare to enter The House of Horror, featuring several new terrifying devious dens including: 13 Ghosts; Hellraiser and the Underworld. If you survive the House of Horror, climb aboard The Haunted Hayride where all of your “frightmares” come to life. Try to escape your state of hysteria as the not so funny Clowns suddenly appear making your heart skip a beat…or two. Don’t let The Doll Factory fool you…the term “child’s play” will NOT come to mind as those pretty peculiar oddities entice you to stay and play and stay and STAY. Come fly away into the realm of the unfamiliar and unknown with those strange, foreign and oh so mischievous malicious Aliens for an extra celestial “TERROR-ESTRIAL” good time. And, The Chamber will send chills down your spine as the menacing maze does its best to keep you in its clutches with a secure DEAD-bolt!
Scream Zone is open: Select dates, Sept. 28 - Oct. 31. Hours are 7 p.m. to midnight Fridays and Saturdays, and 7 to 11 p.m. other days.

Parents: There is no cost to enter The Scream Zone complex. Parents who aren't touring one of the attractions can have something to eat or drink while waiting for their kids. No refunds or exchanges.
Parking: Free in the designated Scream Zone parking lot. Enter the Fairgrounds at the Solana Gate, which is on the south side of Via de la Valle between the Coast Highway and Jimmy Durante Blvd.

The 22nd District Agricultural Association is a State of California agency that owns and operates the Del Mar Fairgrounds, Surfside Race Place, Horsepark Equestrian Center and the Del Mar Golf Center. The 22nd DAA produces five events each year: The San Diego County Fair, the Del Mar National Horse Show, Professional Bull Riding (PBR), The Scream Zone and Holiday of Lights. The Fairgrounds hosts more than 350 events annually, the largest of which is the live horse racing meet each summer, which is operated by the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club for the 22nd DAA and the State of California.
