Fair Opens Saturday June 8 through July 4, 24 Days!
DEL MAR, CA (September 11, 2012)— “GAME ON! “ That’s the theme for the 2013 San Diego County Fair! The summer of 2013 promises to be filled with fun and games galore for 24 days.
The 2013 theme and Fair dates were approved today at the 22nd District Agricultural Association’s Board of Directors meeting.
Are YOU Ready to Play? The “Game On” theme invites everyone young and old to have the time of their lives. The Fair will spotlight classic and nostalgic games we grew up with and show how games have evolved over the years. From board games and pinball, to television, videos and computers, technology has enhanced the gaming culture beyond our wildest dreams.
"We are excited to announce our “Game On” theme for next year’s Fair," stated General Manager and CEO, Timothy Fennell. “Who doesn’t like to play games? Games of all kinds bridge the generation gaps by uniting families to spend quality time together. Games reach all age groups across the board and different cultures all over the world. The 2012 Fair broke another all-time attendance record for the fourth year in a row with a grand total of 1,517,508 guests and we are game to break that same record in 2013," Fennell added.
The 2013 San Diego County Fair will open on Saturday June 8 through Thursday, July 4. The Fair will be closed the first three Mondays, June 10, 17 & 24.
The San Diego County Fair is the largest annual event in San Diego County and the sixth largest fair in the United States, drawing more than 1.5 million visitors annually.
