Positioning your company's product or service at one of the many events at the Del Mar Fairgrounds gives you the power to reach a large, diverse group of consumers in a cost-effective manner.
The Del Mar Fairgrounds' flagship event, the San Diego County Fair, is the largest county fair in the country, the largest fair in California and the fifth largest fair in North America. Aside from minor interruptions, the San Diego County Fair has been held annually since 1880, and is now the largest and oldest annual event in San Diego.
The San Diego County Fair offers a unique and special opportunity to reach almost half the population of San Diego County in a single event.
Marketers can interact with more than 1.5 million people in a relaxed and fun environment. No other San Diego County event comes close to matching the attendance of the Fair during a four-week period. Attendance at the 2016 Fair was the highest in Fair history with 1,609,481 visitors.
The San Diego County Fair is just one of the many events at the Del Mar Fairgrounds' multi-use, multi-million-dollar facility, which is operated by the 22nd District Agricultural Association on behalf of the State of California. Other major events at the Del Mar Fairgrounds include the world-famous Del Mar Thoroughbred Club race meet; the Del Mar National Horse Show; The Scream Zone
and hundreds of consumer shows throughout the year.
The Del Mar Fairgrounds is 20 minutes north of downtown San Diego, and is located adjacent to San Diego's three most affluent communities —Del Mar, Rancho Santa Fe and Solana Beach. The grounds are located west of Interstate 5 at the Via de la Valle exit, on the Pacific Ocean.
