Recreational Vehicle Services
The Del Mar Fairgrounds has RV spaces available to the public for much of the year. The facility is closed to the public from late May through late September, when the San Diego County Fair and Del Mar Thorougbred Club horse racing meet take place.
The cost per space is $32 per night. Payment must be in cash, or by Visa, MasterCard or American Express. No checks will be accepted.
Approximately 58 spaces with hookups for water, electricity and sewage are available at no extra charge, but are allotted on a first-come, first-served basis. Visitors are allowed to stay for a maximum of 30 days, but then must leave for a 72-hour period before returning. Access to the facility is through the Solana Gate, located on the south side of Via de la Valle between the Coast Highway (Camino del Mar) and Jimmy Durante Blvd.
An on-site wagonmaster is available for check-in. Should the wagonmaster not be available, please follow the posted instructions and the wagonmaster will make contact with you to issue a permit. If you have questions and the wagonmaster is not available, call Fairgrounds Security at 858-792-4271.
RV spaces during the San Diego County Fair
Starting in late May, the RV spaces on the grounds are reserved for participants (vendors, employees, exhibitors, etc.) in the annual San Diego County Fair. Those participating in the Fair will receive housing information along with their contracts. If you are affiliated with the Fair in some manner, and would like to request an application, call the Concessions Office at 858-792-4218. After May 31, you will need to call the Housing Office at 858-755-1161 ext. 2180.
