Alex G is a musician & producer known for his lo-fi bedroom pop aesthetic, releasing music from the age of 17, while building a massive cult following.

He was heavily influenced by his older brother, a pianist, and his sister, who introduced him to alternative rock bands like Radiohead and Modest Mouse. He began writing electronic songs on GarageBand in middle school.

During high school, he fronted a "pop-rock that accidentally ended up being punk" band called The Skin Cells. Between 2017 and 2020, he performed under the name (Sandy) Alex G to avoid trademark conflicts with another artist, before eventually reverting to his original stage name.
