Cory Wong is a Grammy-nominated American guitarist, songwriter, producer, and variety show host known for his distinctive funk rhythm guitar style and his work as a member of the bands Vulfpeck and The Fearless Flyers.

Born in Poughkeepsie, New York, and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Wong was exposed to jazz and classic rock by his father. He began his musical journey on the piano, later picking up the bass and guitar, initially playing in a high school punk rock band. He studied music in college and, in his early career, focused on the Minneapolis jazz scene and worked as a session musician in Nashville, where he honed his R&B, pop, and funk sensibilities.

Wong's career took a significant turn in 2013 when he met the members of Vulfpeck. He soon became a frequent collaborator and a formal member of the band in 2016, with the group even naming one of their most popular instrumental tracks "Cory Wong" in his tribute. Concurrently, he established a successful solo career, releasing numerous albums, including the Billboard-charting Motivational Music for the Syncopated Soul (2019) and the Grammy-nominated new-age album Meditations (2020) with Jon Batiste.
