The most genuine way to learn about Sumo is from a former Sumo wrestler who has lived and breathed the experience firsthand. We’re proud to partner with Konishiki who will host Sumo + Sushi! He is the first non-Japanese-born wrestler to reach ōzeki, the second highest rank in Sumo. Throughout his legendary career, he won the top division championship three times. After retirement, Konishiki honors his Hawaiian roots through live musical performances and has released many albums as a Hawaiian singer. He also consistently gives back to his community through the Konishiki Kids Foundation to help underprivileged children from Hawaii to experience Japanese culture.
