Kathlyn Mead, an experienced philanthropic and healthcare executive, was first appointed to the 22nd District Agricultural Association Board of Directors in 2014.
Mead, who earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Southern California, is the Chief Impact Officer for the BQuest Foundation. Previously, Mead was the President and CEO of the San Diego Foundation from 2014 to 2018, and from 2007 to 2014, she was the executive vice president and chief operations officer at the California Endowment. Mead was also the president and chief executive officer at the Council of Community Clinics from 2006 to 2007, vice president at Blue Shield of California from 2005 to 2006, president and chief executive officer at Sharp Health Plan from 1996 to 2005 and vice president at Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego from 1994 to 1996.
Mead has served on the boards of the Charles Drew University of Medicine and Science, Insure the Uninsured Project, Big Green, the Alliance Healthcare Foundation, and Hispanics in Philanthropy. She currently serves at the Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science Board of Trustees.
Mead resides in San Diego.
